Patrick Cleburne was born in this house , in 1828 . Son of a doctor he failed to gain entry to Trinity College to study Medicine . Joining the a Welsh Regiment he rose to Corporal . Later became legendary as General in the Confederate army . He died in the Battle of Franklin .
