Charles Stewart Parnell Monument in Creggs Co Galway

C S Parnell spoke shortly before his death in 1891 in Creggs, Co Galway to a crowd in the village . The local story is that the weather that day was inclement and that Parnell got soaked during the speech .This happened on the 27th September and by October 6th he had died of a heart attack . This monument was unveiled in 1946 by Eamonn DeValera .
