This was reputed to be our family home after the Boyd's left Scotland, but I don't really know. My Uncle Bill, who died in in 2007 at about age 84 said we were from Ballymacool (not too far out of Letterkenny). If there was a town of Ballymacool, it has long been gone, and the area the 'Boyd House' is located in is called Ballymacool Estates, and seems to be a suburb of Letterkenny.
