William Lamport / Guillèn de Lombardo: Mexican Independence Monument
Officially "Monumento a la Independencia". Built to commemorate the centenary of the 1810 War of Independence, later a mausoleum to the mains of some of the patriots of that conflict. Its entrance is now guarded inside by the statue of "Guillèn Lamport" from Wexford, Ireland.
