The Many Faces of Storyteller Jim Hawkins

The Many Faces of Storyteller Jim Hawkins

Modern-day seanchai Jim Hawkins regaled more than 40 hardy souls, including three other members of The Wild Geese, who turned out on a subzero Long Island evening for the monthly meeting of the Irish Cultural Society of Garden City. Jim, a resident of Oceanside, N.Y., interpreted stories form Emmet Kelly, Brendan Behan and J.B. Keane, as well as sharing stories of Christmas from his childhood at Castletown Geoghegan, County Westmeath. Jim, a fixture on the Irish scene in and around metro New York, is available for presentations, and will, he assures us, travel for gigs. You can contact Jim here, via his profile, or via his Green Pages listing.
