A Night on Long Island In Tribute to Seamus Heaney
Poet and former Nassau County Poet Laureate Linda Opyr headlined the Irish Cultural Society of Garden City (NY)'s tribute Wednesday night to the Derry-born poet, who died in September. The event drew about 30 to the Garden City Library for readings from both Heaney's work and Opyr's published ouevre. WG Photos By Gerry Regan
