1872 World Peace Jubilee Lithograph with Pres Grant in foreground
This is a wonderful Colour Lithograph from the period which shows the crowds in attendance at the event when President Grant and his cabinet arrived . He had his usual cigar with PS Gilmore . However if you look at this Lithograph closely and particularly at the Horse Carriage in the foreground you will see President Grant looking back at the us .

"... find out what he is drinking, and give it to the rest of the Generals." was a famous answer given when someone complained of General Grant during the U.S.Civil War: " Grant was "drinking"." I love U.S.Grant, even more when I discovered his Tyrone roots.
