Before the 1869 there were very few Choral Societies in the US . After the Jubilee there were approx 200 in existance , organised and rehearsing . One of the biproducts of the Jubilee was that Choral Societies grew throughout America and at Gilmores insistance all Choral books were supplied free of charge from the Jubilee to the Societies .
