So glad to see you made it over!
Hi, Michael.
Just wanted to extend a bit of a belated welcome here to The Wild Geese. Hope you've had the opportunity to look around the site to see what's on offer. Of course, there is even more to come. It's a great little burgeoning community with loads of interesting folks enjoying the discussion of all-things-Irish.
I find the Irish connection to Mexico fascinating. Hope to hear more from you about that in the days ahead.
Thanks, Michael ... and welcome aboard!
~ Ryan
Hi Michael
We have similar surnames, from all the reports that I've heard down the line on my family history, My G G G G grandfather's name was Michael Hogan. I'm not trying to infer that we are closely related, I just thought I'd drop you a line.

THE JFK Trust, in association with Irish America Magazine, will induct the San Patricio Battalion, from Mexico, to the Irish America Hall of Fame on August 9. http://www.wexfordecho.ie/2013/08/07/battallion-to-get-inducted/ Michael can you tell us here at WG about this?
