Two great dictionaries have finally made it online:

These two are staples of any Gaeilgeoir's bookcase, very heavy too so it's great to see them digitised!

"I think it is a great pity that Irish i not more studied as a Key to Greek and Latin and the modern dialects of Latin. Other than their common inclusion in the Indo-European group of languages, I fail to see where Irish (Gaelic) has other than superficial root words in common with Latin or Classical Greek. As a schoolboy, I studied my Latin through the Irish language and it was all Greek to me.

Thanks! Hailing from Gweedore, Donegal, raised as Gaeilge but now living in Wicklow, English speaking area :/ Trying to raise my young kids bilingually to give them a working knowledge of Irish before they hit school age.. Irish at home, English outside... The Irish curriculum at our schools stinks... :/
