Joe Wade

Hello All,

I hope this is acceptable. I've started a website with an initial story on my great grand-uncle Joe Wade. Joe served under Colonel Blake ( US 6th cavalry) and Major MacBride ( later executed in 1916) with the Irish Brigade' in the Boer War.

I'm updating every few days. It's a fascinating story.

My understanding is the irish brigade formed to help the boers was the last on a national level of irish Patriots to fight British imperialism. I have a belief that some on a personal level of irish patriotism fought in rhodesia & south africa
