Black 47 (who took their name from the worst year of the Irish Potato Famine) will disband in October 2014. On that date, they will have exercised their talent for exactly 25 years. They plan to record a final album, ‘Last Call’.

Over the course of their quarter of a century they have introduced their audiences to a host of great sounds with tones of activism and history.

They plan to tour their ‘old haunts’ and summer festivals for their climax this year so make sure you get to see “the only band that matters.”

It's going to be a sad time when you're gone, but oh what a wake your last show will be!
