A spooky evening at historic St. Malachy's Church in Philadelphia. Based on the historical books written by Ken Milano, Marita Krivda Poxon has written and produced an Evening of Irish Ghost Storytelling which centers on the Irish Riots also known as the Nativisit Riots that occurred in West Kensington, Philadelphia, in May 1844. Thom Nickels, writer, will perform his own ghost tale of Bishop Francis Kenrick. Veteran Irish actor (cast in the movie Braveheart) will play the ghost of Peter Albright, nativist rioter. And I will be the ghost of Mary Norris Dickinson, a Quaker land owner, appalled at what had become of her country estate - no longer the New Jerusalem ... come here Dr. Bill Watson and Bob Toczek who each tell their ghostly tales from the vantage point of other participants in the riots.
