I live in the city of Pereira in the coffee region. Not much Irish presence here - just one girl from Dublin married to a Colombian doctor that I know. I have heard that there are two Irish lads who run a hostal "The Pit Stop" in Medellin and I am sure there must be other Irish folks in Bogota, a city of about 8 million. Even though we don't have an Irish community here, every year my Colombian wife and I host a St. Patrick's Day event for our Colombian family and friends to promote the name and culture of Ireland.
Great to see a Wild Goose in Colombia! I see you're in a prime coffee growing area. I do love a fine cup of Colombian coffee!
Anyway, very curious to hear your own "Irish story" here. Wild Geese members love to hear about one another's backgrounds. Looking forward to interacting with you on The Wild Geese in the future.
