"I'll be interested to hear if The Trribunal determines that the British role during the Famine amounted to either genocide or a crime against humanity."

The Irish Famine Tribunal at Fordham University Law School

April 20, 2013 at 10am to April 21, 2013 at 11pm
Fordham Law School will be hosting the Irish Famine Tribunal to examine the responsibility of the British Government, under international law, for the tragic consequences of this period. Hi Maryann,

Thank you for your welcome. I was born in Ireland--Kilmeedy, Co. Limerick-- and came to the US with my family when I was 13. I am now retired from my job as a public library director and teach literature classes to adult groups/continuing ed classes. I am teaching classes on James Joyce's DUBLINERS to two different groups at the present.
Thanks again for the welcome.

Hi Maryann,

You certainly have my permission to use the photo of the windmill, should you wish to paint it.

Yes, the Dingle peninsula is beautiful. It is possibly my favourite place in Ireland, along with the area of south Mayo from Clew Bay down to Killary harbour.

For more than 200 years, millions have visited Ireland and the Blarney Castle for the chance to kiss the Blarney Stone, which, according to legend grants the "Kisser" with a very special gift; the gift of gab or eloquence.
