[Michael, how about posting an after-action report and a few photos. By the way, is this taking place on Thursday, Sept. 18. I don't see a specific date mentioned.]

    Special notice -

    Remembering Anne Devlin.

The 2014 Commemoration will be held this year, in St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Meath St., off Thomas Street, Dublin, as before, with the 12.00 noon mass which will be offered in memory of Anne. As usual in this church, I, as Kilmainham Tales Teo. MD, and Anne's biographer, will say a few words about Anne, who died on the 18th of September, 1851 - 163 year ago.

After that I will be going to Glasnevin Cemetery and, at 2.30pm, will lay a wreath on Anne's grave. This wreath laying is not part of the "Official Commemoration" and is not an official event - I would need special permission and require public liability insurance for that - so I am just letting my friends know that I am doing this on a personal basis. If they decide to come along, it will be in a personal capacity and that is nothing to do with the formal commemoration, although I would be glad to meet my friends there.

Afterwards, (depending on who turns up) I'll be going for a drink - tea, coffee or stronger! - and hope some people will join me and we can toast Anne's memory.

So there you have it. In practice, I don't expect everyone who comes to attend both the official mass and, later, the cemetery as I cannot supply transport to the cemetery and therefore people will have to make their own way over if they wish.

By the way, don't confuse St. Catherine's in Meath Street with the other St. Catherine's church in Thomas Street in front of which Robert Emmet was executed. We can go see that if anyone wants after the mass.
