Two things: 1) I just read Robert A. Mosher's review of your latest film, "A Terrible Beauty". I look forward so seeing it.
I noticed that the writer, Keith Farrell, and the producer, David Farrell, share your last name. Any chance they are "family"? In any case, I am pleased to see that--FINALLY--the Irish story is being presented and in such a way and in such a format as to give a very large audience an opportunity to understand some, even a little, about the Irish struggle. Also, a film such as this might initiate and engender public support for Irish independence as in "26 +6 +1"!
2) Thanks very much for the notice of your screening of "A Terrible Beauty" at The Brattle Theater in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, 10 September. That's brilliant! I think the title phrase comes from Yeats and was used by Leon Uris as well. I am an ardent student of Irish history, and I will plan to go with a few friends. I just worry about the lines and "if" myself and a few friends will get in as Harvard has a well subscribed Irish program of study so, I think the line for admission will be very long and The Brattle Theater--lovely and highly regarded as an "art and indie venue" is on the small side. Will you introduce the film?
Céad míle fáilte, Colin.... a belated welcome from myself... though many have stepped up in my stead... We look forward to your contributions and to learning your Irish story
