This would be so amazing! I rode horses for 10 years and my dream is to ride on a beach in Ireland! :)

We seek out B&Bs when we travel, especially when it is convenient and if we like what we read about them. We prefer them to hotels, whether in Ireland or anywhere.

Hi Fran, riding a horse on an Irish beach is a must-do experience. There is nothing quite like it. Certain farms may offer horse-riding, but if not, they'll be stables nearby that offer treks out with qualified instructors to suit all levels. I love horse-riding and Ireland is the perfect destination for outdoor sports. Hope you enter our competition and best of luck.

I smiled as I read this, as it recalls a memorable interaction with one of my clients. They were adamant that they wanted a "Farm Stay". I explained that a farm stay would be on a working farm with all of the sounds, smells, etc associated with farm life. They insisted that was what they wanted and so I booked them in for two nights at a farm stay B&B. I am always available to my clients during their travels, via phone or email. I am also available to the B&B hosts, as well.
The host called to share their amusement and advise me that my clients had opted to find a B&B in town. It would seem that my clients were horrified to find chickens, sheep and cows during their welcome tour. Neither I nor the host ever quite ascertained what it was they had expected. In their survey afterwards, they did indicate that the "farm stay was too real for their comfort"
