Traditional Irish Music Album of the Year, 2014

I should have posted this a bit earlier in the year as we announced it in late February.  For those of you that have an interest in traditional Irish music I run a traditional Irish music website called www.TradConnect.com and each year we ask 15 independent judges to pick the best album of the year.

We think this is the best independent award as the judges, whilst knowledgeable in trad music, are in no way connected with artists or the industry.

The judges are spread between Ireland, USA and Europe, in order to give a balanced view.

The winning album for 2014 was by The Trí-Tones.  It is a great album with a modern edge and is well worth checking out.

You can read our album review here and you can read the announcement here. Hope you enjoy it.
