Patrick, McQuaid is quite the Monaghan name, as I am quite sure you know. I have a good friend, Paddy McQuaid, lives in Emyvale. Do you know if you family is from there? Check out my blog, Federal Hill Irish. There are references to Providence and Truagh McQuaids in there.
It is I indeed even though I've never flown the nest. I signed up to the Wild Geese, but I suppose I should have signed in to the Rhode Island section only. Hope to be able to contribute if not to learn from this site.
