This is a photo of a memorial in Waterford Crystal's Factory. It's at the very end of the tour as a tribute to Fr. M. Judge who died on that fateful day and it was inspired by the photo of the firefighters taking him out of the rubble.
Kim, thank you for sharing this. Does Waterford Crystal make crystal in that factory any more? Or is the factory today used to engrave, and perhaps package, imported crystal?
When we were there for the tour through the factory they had a gentleman making crystal and blowing the glass..unless it has changed since last May I think they still make the crystal there at least most of it...it was so interesting seeing them cut the glass. I've since heard that the man who made the 9/11 memorial is on his own now and has a shop in Waterford..didn't know that til just a few days ago. He's a very talented artist.
