Irish Dream House of the Week - Beautiful Irish Cottage

Nestled at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains this wonderfully unique property has been lovingly restored by the current owners and transformed into something special. The setting is stunning with spectacular mountain and rolling countryside views. The original farmhouse and outbuildings are now home to a beautiful 165 M² three-bedroom residence. An additional 2 bed 2 bath detached two story cottage provides a further 85 M² of accommodation.

Standing on approximately 1.5 acres, the property includes three stables with a tack room and hay shed, a post and railed professionally constructed sand arena with a shelter, a round pen a small holding paddock, and chalet accommodation.

This wonderful property offers the possibility for the new owners to run a small business given its separate accommodation and location. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity then look no further.

Wow ... what a lovely place.  I'm jealous, especially of the stables, tack room, hay storage, etc.  Someone is going to get a great place.  Thanks for sharing it here, RE/MAX Ireland.

Stunning, but where are the Blackstairs Mountains? Any insights to share on the history of the dwelling, and year of construction? Every Irish house, like every Irish individual, has a great Irish story to tell.

The Blackstairs are in County Carlow... this property is located outside of Borris

I had the pleasure of visiting Caheroe Cottage back in 2005... It is built from granite from the Blackstairs... early 20th century

and this is the type of property for which I will be looking... but not for another six years...
