48 Hours in Dublin?

Next week I'll be lucky enough to spend 48 hours in Dublin!  In honor of the occasion, what great work of Irish literature shall I read on the plane ride over the lake?  What are the top spots I should hit while in Dublin? Do you have any special Dublin friends who would enjoy a visit from a Yank?   There are so many choices it's almost overwhelming!!  I'll have a full 48 hours to explore!See More

I am an Irish-American living in Chicago.  Both of my grandparents emigrated from County Kerry (Farranfore and Whitegate) in the early 1900's.  In 2012 I went "back home" for the very first time, taking a heritage driving tour of the country.  My only regret is that I did not do this twenty years ago!  Now I'm even more fascinated with my Irish heritage and cannot wait to go back!
