Thank you Gerry. I am a researcher of my ancestor line the Mac Aodhagain and the Ui Maine. My Keegan Ancestor was a Convict from Ballymacormick, County Longford, 1834. I an fourth generation Aussie, with 6 of my 7 paternal GGgrandparents Irish born.

I found this Group while searching for a Map showing Mac Aodhagain and found the 1300 Map showing Mac Aodhagain Homeland being in parts of East Galway and Roscommon.

The location on the Map is consistent with an entry into the Annals -

  • 1260, Macwilliam Burke made an expedition against Fedlimid [O Conchobair]. He came to Roscommon, from where he sent a raid into Cruffon, plundering the Clann Aedacain.

Do you know if I can purchase that 1300 Map? I am sure I will find much of interest in this Group and thank you for accepting my membership.

Cheers Col K
