It's nice to be welcomed into TWG. I've lived my whole life in and around DC. I prefer Virginia and like Loudoun County. I will probably have to move soon, but will stay in Virginia. I've got nothing but Irish on both sides of my family, those I've traced came during the Great Hunger and slowly moved south.

Hi, Clare.

Just wanted to be the second one to welcome you here to The Wild Geese.  My family eventually settled into the area around Abingdon, Virginia after emigrating from Ireland a long ways back.  I now live back in "The Motherland."
