Margaretta Alexandra Eagar (1863 — 1936), was a Limerick woman who served as a nanny to the four daughters of Emperor and Empress Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia, the Grand Duchesses Olga; Tatiana; Maria; and Anastasia

T.S. Eliot (26 September 1888 – 4 January 1965) was very much influenced by his Irish Nanny, Annie Dunne from County Cork.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (24 November 1864 – 9 September 1901) After his parents separated, an Irish nanny took care of Henri. A Miss Braine, who stayed with the family for more than ten years

I've come across some Irish Nannies recently who have had an influence on some people of note.  Do you know of any more to add to the list?

My sweetheart and fellow WG member Mary Grady's mom, Mary T., Grady was a nanny to a scion from the Pillsbury fortune, in the early 1950s in NYC. Mary T. emigrated from Caherciveen, County Kerry, the late 40s. Mary T. tells the story of how this Mr. Pillsbury encouraged her to learn to drive when the family was at their summer home in the Adirondacks, and it proved to be an mmm daunting experience.
