The Irish Brigade Association tour of Ireland was inspired by legendary musical impressario and Galway-born Patrick Sarsfield Gilmore, "Father of the American Band.' The IBA contingent traveled to Ballygar, Gilmore's birthplace, to present his hometown with framed sheet music of one of his compositions, along with a proclamation from the New York City Council declaring March 15-21, 1992, "Patrick Sarsfield Gilmore -- Irish Music Week."

Wonderful picture . That farmed score of the "Spirit of the North " dedicated to the Zouves Regiment with the wonderful red sash and african hats , is missing since and I havent managed to locate same either in Ballygar or in Galway . Thanks Gerry and all your Wild Geese Colleagues from that visit.
