Beautifully told story, Joe! As a writer and storyteller, you seem to go from strength to strength! Thanks, Bill and Peter too for these additional insights. What happened to the Leinster? Perhaps one of you fellows might bring that story to WG readers.

Francis Browne who took the iconic photographs of The Titanic. Clare's sister Ellen was a Sister of Charity who told my Grandfather that his children and grandchildrem should be educated by the Vincentians to get "a proper Catholic Education". But it was in fact another Castleknock boy John Morrogh of Cork city who took the last known photograph of The Titanic near Corsshaven, County Cork, after it had sailed from Queenstown to its demise. The Morroghs were members of The Royal Cork Yacht Club, the oldest Yacht Club in the world. His brother Vincent Mary Morrogh who served as an Officer in The Connaught Rangers in The Great War, was world dingy champion in the early 1920's.
