I'm 4th generation Irish and had my first chance last year to visit and it was love at first sight! Visiting there just opened my heart and soul to all the Irish in me! It's filled me and I can't wait to go back again :)

Thanks Fran... Glad to know there are some cousins out there with an appreciation for a decent paint job.

The best contact for CeltFest is Killian Kennedy in Ireland.  http://www.celtfestcuba.org/

Culture Ireland did not fund participants in 2014 so Irish (and Canadian Irish} participation was minimal.

If you go to your 'My Page' link and from there, you would hover over the 'Blogs' heading and click on 'Add a Blog' and just type away!

OK on the photo. I didn't want to frighten anyone off this great web page. My appointment with the plastic surgeon is Tuesday, week. So, watch this space for a handsome young man at the prime of his life.

    Hi Fran,

Gerry and I got acquainted via phone yesterday, and I asked him about an opportunity to speak to you also. Let me know if and when that might be convenient for you.

    Thanks Fran.

I am delighted to join the Wild Geese Site.

I am the Marketing and Sales Manager at Four Courts Press (www.fourcourtspress.ie). We are a small independent Irish publishing house which published some 50 books each year (Celtic and Medieval Studies, and then into Modern History, Art, Literature and Law). We do a huge amount of local history, Irish history, European history and we have over 1800 books in print so we are kept pretty busy.

    Best wishes,

    Anthony

Thanks very much, Fran.  My interest is in the various designs and architectural materials that were used to build Irish Thatched Cottages, their use in helping support members who rented them, and why animals were apart of the buildings, as I have researched so far.

Again, thank you so much for reaching out, and may you and your family have a very Happy New Year.
