 nnounces one of its most popular topics, genealogy, as its subject for
  its October meeting.  The meeting is on Wednesday, October 12 at 7:3
 0 p.m. in the Garden City Casino, 51 Cathedral Avenue, corner of Sixth
  Street, adjacent to the east bound platform of the LIRR Garden City S
 tation.  The meeting is free and open to the public.\nThe speaker wil
 l be Kathleen McGee who will speak about how to begin tracing Irish fa
 mily roots.\nKathleen is the moderator of the popular Genealogy Tips a
 nd Tricks classes presented before the Irish Family History Forum meet
 ings.  She has been a volunteer family history librarian at the Plain
 view Family History Center for over twenty years. Ms. McGee is a board
  member and program coordinator at the Genealogy Federation of Long Is
 land.  Kathleen is a frequent speaker at libraries on Long Island and
  works with Scouts on their family history badges.\nA graduate of St. 
 John’s University, Kathleen worked in the telecommunications industr
 y before retiring to devote more time to genealogy.  Attendees should
  come early.  Genealogy and Ms. McGee draw crowds.\nAt the meeting, P
