 erry, Northern Ireland.\nThe christening bonnets will be made from shi
 rts sourced from Derry which references the cotton and linen industry 
 that so many women in Ireland were involved in at the time when impove
 rished women were being exiled off to Australia.\nThousands of women e
 nded up making shirts in these factories. Including the shirt material
  in the bonnets is a reminder that the babies and young children born 
 to transported women never grew to adulthood.\nBonnets made in this wo
 rkshop will be included in an exhibition that will be included in the
