During World War I silk workers from Paterson sent money to injured colleagues in Lyon.City Hall in Paterson is an architectural homage to the Hotel-De-Ville in Lyon which was built by French industrialists in Paterson, NJ. The City Hall survived both a major Fire and flood. A Jacquard loom in the Paterson Museum as well.
