This is what I know of the beginning of my family. David Boyd (son of Robert Boyd) was born 17 Jun 1737 in Ireland. He was buried 11 May 1815 in Fishing Creek Presbyterian Churchyard, Chester, South Carolina, USA. He married his first wife in Ireland, (unknown name, maybe born about 1760). She died about 1769 in South Carolina. He married Margaret Margit Wylie 1768/1769 in South Carolina, daughter of Peter Wylie and Ann Hawthorne. She was born  about 1747 in Antrim, Ireland, and died 17 Mar 1824 in , Chester, South Carolina, USA. She was buried in Chester, South Carolina, USA.

My Grandmother, Macie Huddleston Boyd, also had family that originally came from Ireland. She had the fairest complexion, and talked so sweet and soft. She made bread pudding and things like coddled eggs. I believe she also made cabbage dishes from Ireland (though at the age of 5 or 6, I'm just not sure.

I believe most of the Boyd's were from Ulster or Antrim. If you can help me, please let me know...

This is the beginnings of my Irish Story. Can you help find the Boyd's from Ulster or Antrim?

How have you uncovered the info about your Irish antecedents, described above, Pamela?

I've used ancestry.com a lot, I have their World connection, but it has not done very well. I've been on several other 'Irish' and 'Scot' sites, but they haven't panned out to well, either.

Alannah, anyone, who is the woman we interviewed who emigrated from Belfast, via Scotland?
