Here is the trailer for a documentary written and directed by Gemma O'Doherty about the case of Ireland's youngest missing person. Mary Boyle vanished on her grandparents' remote farm in Donegal in March 1977.

Mary was just six years of age. Her remains have never been found. The documentary reveals allegations by retired senior officers that a politician requested the chief suspect not be arrested. He never has been and still lives in Donegal today.

Mary Boyle's twin Ann claims that her sister was going to reveal a secret. She says she was murdered to stop her from telling it.

Scintillating. I'm outraged by the seeming obstructionism. Will look to watch the full documentary shortly.

What a heartbreaking story for any parent..If the allegations by former Senior Officers are true, that a Politician asked them not to arrest the chief suspect.. Then surely , in all moral conscious .. they should be held accountable brought to Court and made tell her parents who the Politician was , who stopped the arrests and investigation into her disappearance ..

Surely that is  called colluding, with a criminal ...

What an incredibly devastating story...have always been fascinated with this case, her parents died utterly broken hearted over what happened to their beautiful daughter. I watched an interview with Marys mum just before she died that was heartbreaking. Brava for your courage/commitment in making this documentary happen, evil only thrives when good people stay silent.
