Mayo born singer songwriter Seamus Ruttledge has recorded a new version of 'James Connolly' to mark the centenary of the 1916 Easter rising.

Ruttledge has adapted, arranged, and written new verses for this 2016 interpretation of the famous ballad.

Have you been following the celebrations of the centenary......Do hope that somewhere in all the hype.... Cumann na mBan and all the other very spirited women on 1916 were equally celebrated ..Good luck with you singing career

like the words he changed no problem with  them fell into a hero's grave but also liked & had a mental picture of 

Connolly seeing a ready made grave I think it was
