It's a thought-provoking perspective, David. I tend to agree, but perhaps I'm stuck in an old mind-set. Did the monarchy ever apologize for the war crimes perpetrated by the Black and Tans, BTW?

The monarchy won't apologise, Ger...They feel that we Irish were more harsh than they ever were...after all, they write the History to their good and betterment...not Ireland's.
