Just wanted to take a few minutes to welcome you here to The Wild Geese.  Glad your wife referred you to the site!  I've been in the Manchester area and really enjoyed it.  How's the "Irish scene" there, by the way?

Hope you've had the chance to look around a bit.  Plenty of great articles, discussions, resources, etc., and loads more to come.  Perhaps the greatest thing about this site is the ability of all members to add their voice to the discussion of all-things-Irish.  Hope to hear your own "Irish story" here in the days to come.
