Ruthie Morrissey was a popular Irish-American singer in the 1940s and 50s and was a featured singer at the many Rockaway(Queens,NY) Irish dance halls like the Leitrim House, Sligo House, Dublin House, etc. all located on 103rd St. in what was then known as "Irishtown".
