Mineola, N.Y. -- Irish Consul General Noel Kilkenny and Sinn Fein TD Sean Crowe joined more than 150 others at an annual commemoration of the Easter Rising at noon, Easter Monday. Irish America is at the peak of its influence and prestige, Kilkenny noted, speaking at the commemoration in Nassau County, a bedroom community for New York City where, like elsewhere nationwide, Irish Americans have indeed achieved both prosperity and political clout.
