I was really excited to see the piece written here by former Taoiseach, John Bruton reviewing “Battles for the Three Kingdoms: The Campaigns for England, Scotland and Ireland 1689-92” by John Barratt.

Naturally, this got me to thinking about the famous Boyne battlefield.  Just wondering which of my fellow Wild Geese have paid a visit to this "hallowed ground."  I've been to the general area many times and have seen the battlefields, but have never taken an official tour.

I'm glad to have read Bruton's piece here, because it has reminded me that I need to get there to snap some nice photos, if for no other reason.  Anyone else been?  Anyone have photos?

Never did get to the Boyne battlefield, though I wanted to. Ran out of time. Closest I got was Tara and Slane.
