<p>I made this cake to celebrate Beltane (in a very non-religious way). It turned out nicely, and certainly has a unique flavour. I'm not sure I've ever had this much spice (see nutmeg, cardamom, clove, ginger) mixed with chocolate. Soaking with the amaretto ensures optimum moistness! Love the flavour of amaretto, too.</p>
