beautiful places of religion in ireland

while it is not in carlow, i would add as one of the most beautiful settings i have seen in any country the german flyers cemetery in the wicklow hills above glendalough. it is in an an overgrown old quarry with a counter -curve of about fifty tombstones and a hidden brook gurgling behind the greenery.
